Maruti Suzuki will no longer offer the new Ertiga in LDi trim. The variant has been discontinued and dealers have been requested to stop fresh bookings for this variant.

The second generation Ertiga was launched in November 2018. The diesel version was offered in four variants - LDi, VDi, ZDi and ZDi+ with prices starting at Rs. 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The VDi trim priced at Rs. 9.56 lakh will now be the base diesel variant. It comes equipped with features like projector headlamps, air-conditioning with rear AC vents, multi-function steering wheel, rear centre armrest, audio system with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless entry among others.

Currently, the Ertiga is offered with a 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 89 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm @ 1,750 rpm and comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It features Smart Hybrid Technology and comes with Idle Start Stop function, Brake Energy Regeneration and Torque Assist function. This engine is expected to be replaced with a new 1.5-litre unit.
