Maruti Suzuki has received over 30,000 bookings for the fourth-generation Dzire in less than a month since its launch.
According to Maruti Suzuki, dealerships are receiving over 1,000 bookings per day, which is double that of the 3rd-gen Dzire. The carmaker has also revealed that half of total bookings are for the top two variants.
Bookings for the new Dzire opened on November 4, and the car was officially launched on November 11. The compact sedan is available in four variants: LXi, VXi, ZXi and ZXi+, with prices starting at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering the new Dzire is Maruti’s new Z12E 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. This unit produces 81 BHP and 112 Nm and is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT. The car is also available with a factory-fitted CNG option.
