Maruti Ignis EV by Northway Motorsport priced from Rs. 12.50L

The company offers a 2-year / 60,000 km warranty on its EV conversion kit.

Pune-based Northway Motorsport has launched an EV conversion kit for the Maruti Ignis at a price of Rs. 12.50 lakh for the standard range kit (120 km) and Rs. 14.50 lakh for the long-range kit (240 km). These prices include the cost of the kit and the vehicle.

Northway will offer these conversion kits for the Ignis MT MY2021 and beyond. The electric motor generates 170 Nm of peak torque and the car's top speed is rated at 140 km/h.

The manual transmission is said to offer extra torque whenever required, especially in heavy traffic or while overtaking. Shifting to a lower gear aids deceleration and also helps recharge the battery using the regenerative braking system.

Northway claims that the battery can be recharged in 3-7 hours. The company also offers a 2-year / 60,000 km warranty on the kit.
