Maruti recalls Swift, Dzire for faulty Airbag Controller Unit

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has issued a voluntary recall for the new Swift and Dzire for a possible fault in the Airbag Controller Unit.

A total of 1,279 vehicles have been affected. These include 566 units of the new Swift and 713 units of the new Dzire manufactured between May 7, 2018 and July 5, 2018.

Starting July 25, 2018, owners of the affected vehicles will be contacted by Maruti Suzuki dealers. The cars will have to be brought in for inspection and replacement of the faulty part will be done free of cost.

Owners can also check if their cars are among those recalled by entering the chassis number on the Maruti Suzuki website.
