Maruti Suzuki Ignis Zeta now gets touchscreen head-unit

Maruti Suzuki has introduced the 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touchscreen infotainment head-unit in the Zeta variant of the Ignis.

The SmartPlay Studio infotainment system is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The car also comes equipped with alloy wheels, steering mounted audio controls and a rear wiper, while features like LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights and automatic climate control are still reserved for the top-spec Alpha trim.

At launch, the touchscreen head-unit was only available in the Alpha trim, while the Zeta trim, which is positioned below the Alpha, got a 2-DIN audio system.

The Ignis is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine, which produces 82 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm @ 4,200 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT.
