Maruti Suzuki Jimny teased on social media

The Jimny is expected to be positioned as a lifestyle off-roader and will take on the Force Gurkha and the Mahindra Thar.

Maruti Suzuki has teased what seems to be a Jimny on Nexa's Instagram profile.

Unlike previous reports, this is expected to be the 3-door Jimny, and not the 5-door version of the off-roader.  The latter is expected to make its debut in 2022.

In India, the Jimny will likely be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder K-Series petrol engine producing 101 BHP @ 6,000 rpm and 130 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The engine is likely to be paired with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
