Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross spied with India-specific features

The upcoming Maruti Suzuki SX4 S-Cross has been spotted testing on several occasions. Now the car has been spied once again, this time with what are believed to be India-specific features.

The images put up by gaadiwaadi.com indicate that the SX4 S-Cross will get a dual slat chrome grille and chrome strips lining the top of the tail lamps. The website has also reported that Maruti will drop the base L variant for the S-Cross. The car will be available only in V and top-of-the-line Z trim levels.

The V variant is expected to get halogen tube headlamps, 10-spoke alloy wheels and fender-mounted turn indicators. In Z trim, the S-Cross is expected to be equipped with HID projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, 14-spoke alloy wheels and silver garnish on the side skirts and front and rear bumpers.

The S-Cross is likely to be powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. There is no news of a petrol engine being offered on the car as yet. To keep costs in check, Maruti may not equip the S-Cross with the Suzuki AllGrip all-wheel drive system that is available on the car in other countries.
