Maruti Suzuki YTB crossover spied in India

The Maruti Suzuki YTB is expected to be positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara.

As Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch the Grand Vitara in India, work is underway on yet another SUV. Codenamed YTB, the new model has now been spotted testing in India.

The Maruti Suzuki YTB is expected to be positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara. Previous reports suggest that it could be based on Maruti’s Heartect platform, however, the test car seen in this image looks quite similar to the Toyota Yaris Cross.

The YTB looks like a jacked-up hatchback in this image. Also, the shape of the rear hatch and the position of the tail lamps match the Yaris Cross.

Under the bonnet, the YTB is likely to get a strong hybrid powertrain, making it one of the most affordable strong hybrid models in the market. It could use the 1.5-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor.
