Maruti Suzuki's cumulative exports cross 3 million units

40% of passenger vehicles exported from India are from Maruti Suzuki.

Maruti Suzuki has achieved a new milestone of 3 million cumulative exports. The landmark vehicle was part of a shipment of 1,053 units comprising models like the Celerio, Fronx, Jimny, Baleno, Ciaz, Dzire and S-Presso. The consignment was recently dispatched from the Pipavav port in Gujarat.

Maruti Suzuki has been exporting vehicles manufactured in India since 1986. The first large shipment of 500 cars was shipped to Hungary in September 1987.

Maruti’s exports crossed the 1 million unit mark in FY2012-13. The next million cars were shipped in less than 9 years in FY2020-21 and it took just 3 years and 9 months to achieve the next million.

Maruti Suzuki leads the pack when it comes to vehicle exports. Today, 40% of passenger vehicles exported from India are from Maruti Suzuki. The company aims to ramp up exports to 7.5 lakh units by 2030-31.

Maruti Suzuki exported 1,81,444 units in the period April-October in FY 2024-25 - a growth of 17.4 % over the same period the previous year. Today, the company exports 17 models to nearly 100 countries, with Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Middle East being the important export markets for the company.
