Maruti Vitara Brezza to be unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo

We've seen spy shots of the upcoming YBA compact SUV from Maruti Suzuki on several occasions. Now, the company has announced that it will unveil the vehicle at the 2016 Auto Expo, scheduled to be held next month. Maruti has named it "Vitara Brezza". Brezza is an Italian word for "fresh breeze".

The first sketch of this car has been revealed and gives us a glimpse of its design cues such as square wheel arches, short overhangs, high ground clearance, high bonnet line and floating roof.

This car will hit showrooms a few weeks after the unveil at the Expo. It is rumoured to be sold through regular Maruti Suzuki dealerships and not through the NEXA chain.

The Vitara Brezza is likely to be powered by Maruti's current range of petrol and diesel engines, which are shared with other cars from the manufacturer. An in-house developed 1.5-litre, diesel engine is likely to be used in the car at a later stage.
