Maruti WagonR with redesigned front end spied

New spy images of the reworked Maruti WagonR have surfaced online. The images suggest that the car might get a redesigned front end with a headlamp setup similar to the Hyundai Venue and a redesigned grille and bumper. The car could be named Stingray or XL5.

The test car appears to have a redesigned front fascia featuring slim turn signals right on top and headlamps placed lower down on the bumper. The car also has circular fog lamps, ORVMs with integrated turn-indicators and black alloy wheels similar to those offered on the Ignis. The car might also get revised tail lamp clusters and appears to have a higher ground clearance compared to the regular WagonR.

The car is likely to be powered by a BS-VI compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Reports suggest that this version of the WagonR is likely to be sold through Maruti's Nexa retail channel and is likely to be positioned above the regular WagonR.
