Mercedes-AMG A45 S unveiled in India

The A45 S is powered by the most potent 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine in the world.

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the AMG 45 S performance hatchback in India. The car will be imported as a completely built unit (CBU) and will go on sale on November 19, 2021.

The Mercedes-AMG A45 S is a hot hatch that is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. It's said to be the most powerful four-banger in the world, producing 416 BHP and 500 Nm.

The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. There are six driving modes - Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, Individual and Race. Mercedes claims that the A45 S can do 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.

On the outside, the A45 S gets the typical AMG treatment with a Panamericana grille, a sporty body kit with quad exhausts and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the car gets a flat-bottom AMG Performance steering wheel and a dual-screen setup. It also gets Nappa leather and Dinamica microfibre upholstery with yellow stitching that adds a sporty touch.
