Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet launched in India

The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet is imported as a completely built unit (CBU).

Kicking things off in style in 2023, Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG E53 Cabriolet in India. The 2-door convertible is priced at Rs 1.30 crore (ex-showroom).

The Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet comes with four seats and an electric folding soft top. It gets an AMG-specific Panamericana grille and an aggressive front bumper. The car also gets subtle sporty touches at the rear, including quad exhausts.

Inside, the car gets an AMG-specific 3-spoke steering wheel and dual-screen setup comprising of a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. It also comes equipped with AMG’s Ride Control+ air suspension.

The E53 Cabriolet uses a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid tech. It develops 429 BHP and 520 Nm and is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels via the 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system.

Mercedes claims the E53 Cabriolet can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.
