Mercedes-Benz C-Class 'Edition C' launched at Rs. 42.54 lakh

Mercedes-Benz today launched the C-Class 'Edition C' in India. The Edition C comes with a host of interior as well as exterior upgrades and is available in three variants - C 200 Avantgarde Edition C priced at Rs. 42.54 lakh, C 220 d Avantgarde priced at Rs. 43.54 lakh and C 250 d Avantgarde Edition C costing Rs. 46.87 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

As part of this package, designo Hyacinth red exterior paint is available on the C-Class for the first time. Mercedes-Benz has added a contrasting black front lip spoiler and a rear spoiler painted in black. The car also gets the Night package, which adds black painted front twin louvers, ORVM housings, beltline and side skirts. The car rides on 10-spoke lightweight alloy wheels painted in gloss black and comes with unique 'Edition C' exterior badges. It also gets LED logo projector lamps underneath the ORVMs that project the Mercedes-Benz logo on to the road. Inside, the C-Class 'Edition C' gets open-pore black ash wood trim, stainless steel pedals with rubber studs and Garmin navigation system.

The C-Class 'Edition C' is offered with one petrol and two diesel engine options. The C 200 is powered by a 1,991 cc, 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 181 BHP @ 5,500 rpm and 300 Nm of torque @ 1,200-4,000 rpm. The C 220 d comes with a 2,143cc, 4-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 168 BHP @ 3,000-4,200 rpm and peak torque of 400 Nm @ 1,400-2,800 rpm. The top of the range C 250 d uses a 2,143cc, 4-cylinder diesel unit that is rated for 201 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 500 Nm of torque @ 1,600-1,800 rpm. All engines come paired with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
