Mercedes-Benz posted its highest sales in India in 2024. The carmaker sold 19,565 units between January and December, registering a growth of 12.4%.
According to Mercedes, its Top-End Vehicle (TEV) sales grew by 30% compared to the previous year. 1 out of 4 Mercedes sold in India in 2024 was a TEV.
Mercedes’ electric vehicle portfolio also registered strong growth. Sales were up 94% compared to the previous year, with sales penetration of more than 6%. The carmaker leads the luxury EV market, selling its highest number of BEVs in a calendar year in 2024.
This year, Mercedes has lined up 8 new models for India, with a focus on BEVs and TEVs. The carmaker recently launched the electric G-Wagon - G 580 with EQ Technology and the 5-seater version of the EQS, the EQS 450.
