Mercedes-Benz launches E 350 CDI at Rs. 57.42 lakh

Mercedes-Benz India has expanded its E-Class sedan range with the launch of the E 350 CDI. Priced at Rs. 57.42 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), the new variant slots in above the E 200 and E 250 CDI and below the E 63 AMG in the line-up. The car will be assembled at the company's plant in Chakan, near Pune.

The E 350 CDI features same body and design as the other E-Class sedans. The difference is under the hood. The E 350 CDI draws power from a 2987 cc, V6 diesel engine that puts out 261 bhp @ 3800 rpm and 620 Nm of torque @ 1600-2400 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels through a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Mercedes-Benz claims that the E 350 CDI can touch 100 kph from a standstill in 6.6 seconds and attain an electronically limited top speed of 250 kph.

The Mercedes E 350 CDI is equipped with features like 17-inch alloy wheels, Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic sunroof, Eco Start-Stop, Intelligent Lighting Systems featuring variable light distribution with cornering function, adaptive high beam assist, 360 degree camera, tyre pressure loss warning system, and COMAND Online infotainment system with a 17.8 cm high-resolution colour display, internet connectivity, USB and Bluetooth connectivity, a storage space of 10 GB and navigation.

The list of safety features provided includes airbags, Acceleration Skid Control (ASR), Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Brake Assist (BA) and Attention Assist. The E 350 CDI comes with a full-sized spare wheel.

Mercedes-Benz has also announced that it is now offering the panoramic sunroof as standard in the E 200 and E 250 CDI as well.
