Mercedes-Benz recalls 1 million cars worldwide

Old models such as the ML, GL and R-Class series manufactured between 2004 and 2015 could be affected.

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed a global recall of almost 1 million older cars due to a possible brake booster problem.

The company stated that in some of the vehicles, the function of the brake booster could be affected by advanced corrosion. This could result in the driver having to apply extra force on the brake pedals to help slow the car down, which in turn could increase the stopping distance of the vehicle.

As per the company's statements, old models such as the ML, GL and R-Class series manufactured between 2004 and 2015 could be affected. Mercedes-Benz stated that a total of 993,000 units have been recalled worldwide, of which 70,000 are from Germany.
