Mercedes-Benz records 26% growth in Q1 2022

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB remains the brand's highest selling model, followed by the GLC.

Mercedes-Benz sold 4,022 units in the first quarter of 2022, registering a growth of 26% compared to the same period last year.

According to Mercedes, this was one of the best quarters for the brand. The carmaker also has an order bank of more than 4,000 cars, which is the highest ever in its history in India.

The E-Class LWB is its highest selling model, followed by the GLC. The demand for the GLE and GLS SUVs has also been strong. The AMG and "Super Luxury Car" segment recorded a 35% growth during this quarter.

Mercedes-Benz has lined up a few launches for the next quarter, including the next-gen C-Class. The company is also said to be working to reduce the waiting period of most of its models.
