Mercedes-Benz sells 4,857 cars in H1 2021

High-end models like the GLS Maybach 600, S-Class, as well as the AMG models, received high demand.

Mercedes-Benz has announced its sales figures for H1 2021. The carmaker delivered 4,857 units in the first half of this year, registering a 65% growth over the previous year (2,948 units in H1 2020).

According to the company, there was strong demand for all of its models in June. High-end models like the GLS Maybach 600, S-Class, as well as the AMG models, received high demand. The market response to the EQC electric SUV has also been satisfactory. Further, the launch of the A-Class Limousine and the new GLA is said to have contributed to the H1 2021 sales volumes.

The total number of connected car sales by Mercedes-Benz till H1 2021 stands at 10,600 units.

Mercedes claims that online sales contributed to 20% of the total H1 2021 sales. Over 25,000 leads were generated by online sales alone during this time. During the lockdown period (April-May) online sales penetration was 35%.

Mercedes' lifestyle accessories store recorded a growth of 5% in Jan-June 2021, with over 700 orders fulfilled.
