Mercedes EQB & GLB to be launched in India on December 2

Bookings for the Mercedes-Benz GLB and EQB electric SUV are now open.

Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that the EQB electric SUV and the GLB will be launched in India on December 2, 2022. Bookings are now open and customers can place their orders by paying a token amount of Rs. 1.5 lakh.

The EQB will be the third EV launched by Mercedes-Benz in India in 2022. It is also the first 7-seater luxury EV in the brand’s portfolio.

The EQB shares its underpinnings with the GLB. It comes in two dual-motor variants: 300 4Matic with 225 BHP and 350 4Matic with 288 BHP. The car is said to have a maximum range of 419 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

The electric SUV will be launched alongside the GLB. This 7-seater SUV, often referred to as the ‘mini GLS’, could be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines paired with Mercedes’ 4Matic four-wheel drive system.
