Mercedes to launch EQC electric SUV in India in April 2020

Mercedes-Benz is set to introduce its EQ sub-brand in India in April 2020. The first product under the new brand will be the EQC electric SUV.

The EQC is a 5-door electric SUV that is based on a modified version of the GLC's platform. It measures 4,761 mm in length, 1,884 mm in width, 1,624 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,873 mm.

The EQC is powered by two electric motors placed on each axle. Together, they deliver a combined output of 402 BHP and 760 Nm of torque. It comes with a 80 kWh lithium-ion battery that is claimed to offer a range of 445-471 km (NEDC cycle). Mercedes-Benz claims that the EQC will accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and has a top speed of 180 km/h.
