Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 launched at Rs. 2.43 crore

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is the top-of-the-range luxury model of the GLS range.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the Maybach GLS600 in India. The luxury SUV is priced at Rs. 2.43 crore (ex-showroom) and Mercedes claims that over 50 units have already been booked. The next batch of cars will be available in Q1 2022.

Exterior:

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is the top-of-the-range luxury model of the GLS range. It gets a distinct exterior featuring the Maybach grille at the front and stylish 22-inch chrome wheels. More shiny bits on the front and rear bumpers and around the windows distinguish it from the standard GLS.

Interior:

Keeping with the traditions of the Maybach brand, the interior of this car is even more special. This 4-seater SUV has individual captain seats in the rear. The seats can recline by 43.5 degrees and can be pushed back by 120 mm. The seats have memory and massage function, extending leg rest and come with wireless charging pads and MBUX rear tablet.

Additionally, there are two folding tables, storage trays, as well as a refrigerator integrated into the rear armrest. It also comes with the Air-Balance active fragrance package.

Specifications:

The Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine that develops 549 BHP @ 6,000-6,500 rpm and 730 Nm @ 2,500-4,500 rpm. An additional 22 BHP and 250 Nm is available via the EQ Boost function. The engine is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

The SUV comes equipped with air suspension with Adaptive Damping System Plus (ADS+) as standard. The system has a bespoke Maybach drive program for optimal ride comfort. The E-Active Body Control compensates for pitch, roll and shocks. It has three functions - Road Surface Scan, Active Curve tilting function and Recovery Mode.

Some of the options offered on the Maybach GLS600 include dual-tone paint schemes, 23-inch light-alloy wheels, head-up display, Magic Vision Control and Burmester audio system.
