Mercedes-Benz recently announced that it will be introducing an all-new MANUFAKTUR Studio. The new Mercedes MANUFAKTUR Studio will allow the brand's customers the "highest degree of customisation", which reportedly also includes the installation of handcrafted components on new cars.
The MANUFAKTUR Studio will ensure customer cars are manufactured with elaborate precision and by hand. It also allows customers to experience first-hand, the customisations being made as per their requests. The Studio is said to be capable of working on 20 vehicles per day.
During the announcement, Mercedes-Benz also touched upon a new tech it has been working on, called 'PixelPaint'. Although the company didn't reveal any details, it did mention that the tech is inspired by Inkjet printers and applies high-quality paint directly onto the vehicle's body. The printer-like capabilities will allow the company to paint custom patterns on vehicles with precision.
The company stated, "It allows for the application of custom patterns with the highest level of accuracy – ideal for individually designed dream vehicles. Customers can request bespoke design elements according to their ideas, which are limited only by technical feasibility."
The MANUFAKTUR Studio will offer customisation options for select Benz, AMG and Maybach models, starting with the brand's flagship sedan - the S-Class.
