MG Astor (ZS Petrol) with panoramic sunroof spied

The Astor is expected to be positioned below the Hector.

Having launched the Hector, Hector Plus and the ZS EV in India, MG is now gearing up to introduce the ZS petrol. Rumoured to be called the Astor, this SUV is expected to be positioned below the Hector.

New spy images suggest that MG might offer a panoramic sunroof on the Astor. The test car seen in these images is equipped with rather stylish looking dual-tone alloy wheels. Also, note that it has red brake calipers at the front.

The MG Astor is likely to be offered with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with either a manual or continuously variable transmission (CVT). The SUV is also expected to get a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol motor producing 161 BHP and 230 Nm. It could be mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission. The MG Astor (ZS Petrol) is likely to be launched in the third quarter of this year.
