MG Gloster Black Storm special edition launch on May 29

The Gloster Black Storm edition is said to be based on the 4x4 variant and is expected to come in an all-black colour scheme.

MG Motor India is gearing up to launch a new special edition of its flagship SUV, the Gloster, in India. The SUV will be called the 'Black Storm' edition and will go on sale on May 29, 2023.

The Gloster Black Storm edition is said to be based on the 4x4 variant. The SUV is finished in an all-black colour scheme and gets red highlights on the bumpers, ORVMs, and along the sides. It also gets a special 'Black Storm' badge. The all-black treatment has been replicated on the interior as well, with black upholstery and red ambient lighting.

The MG Gloster is powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine. It comes in two states of tune - a single turbo version with 161 BHP and 375 Nm and a twin-turbo unit that puts out 215 BHP and 480 Nm. The latter comes with a shift-on-fly 4WD system. An 8-speed automatic transmission is offered as standard across both engine tunes.

Earlier this month, MG discontinued the entry-level Super variant of the Gloster. The SUV is now available in Sharp & Savvy trims.
