MG Gloster interior leaked

As MG is preparing to launch the Gloster SUV in India, new images revealing the SUV's interior have surfaced online.

The MG Gloster was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo, but we never got a chance to take a look at its cabin. As per the latest image, the Gloster will get dual-tone interiors with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit.

The SUV is equipped with a panoramic sunroof, digital instrument cluster, electronic parking brake and has a rotary drive mode selector. The gear selector looks similar to that found in Audis. The car also gets paddle shifters.

The Gloster has separate captain seats in the second row and a bench seat in the third row. The seats are wrapped in tan coloured upholstery with a quilted pattern.

The Gloster is a re-badged version of the Maxus D90 sold in the Chinese market. In India, the SUV could be powered by an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 218 BHP and 480 Nm. The engine could be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

In terms of advanced safety equipment, the Gloster will come with automatic park assist, radar guided cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

The MG Gloster is expected to be imported as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and assembled at MG's Halol plant. It will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4 in the Indian market.
