MG Gloster rolls out of the brand's Halol factory

MG Gloster's assembly process detailed in short video.

MG has released a video of the Gloster being assembled at its Halol factory in Gujarat. The video is just over a minute long and documents the complete assembly process of the Gloster.

The Gloster is powered by a 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel engine rated at 215 BHP @ 4,000 rpm and 480 Nm @ 1,500-2,400 rpm. It is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It gets a four-wheel drive system with a BorgWarner transfer case as standard and has seven different drive modes - Snow, Mud, Sand, Eco, Sport, Normal and Rock.

The SUV comes with safety features such as radar guided cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, automatic park assist, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning and a fatigue reminder system.

The Gloster comes with a 12.3-inch touchscreen head-unit and an 8-inch instrument cluster. It also comes equipped with 3-zone automatic climate control system, ventilated front seats (heated only), captain seats in the second row, 12-way adjustable driver seat with memory function, a panoramic sunroof and 71 iSmart connected car features.

The Gloster is scheduled to be launched on October 8.
