MG Gloster: Variant details and features list

While MG is gearing up to launch the Gloster in the coming weeks, the carmaker has released a variant-wise list of features of the SUV.

The MG Gloster will be offered in four variants - Super, Smart, Sharp and Savvy. It will come in 6 or 7-seater configurations.

Features such as automatic LED headlamps, 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, rain sensing wipers, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit, cruise control, and reclining middle row of seats are offered as standard across all variants.

Gloster Super

The base Super variant gets 7 airbags, ESP, traction control, hill start assist, hill descent control, rear view camera and driver fatigue monitor. It comes with a 7-seat layout with a 6-way adjustable driver seat and has manual air-conditioning.

Gloster Smart

The Smart variant comes with cornering lamps, 8-inch MID, ambient lighting, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, sunroof, paddle shifters, 12-way power adjustable driver seat, hands-free powered tailgate, 3-zone automatic climate control and i-Smart connected car features.

Gloster Sharp

The Sharp variant gets an electronic locking rear differential, Shift-on-fly 4WD system with 7 driving modes, Blind spot assist, 360-degree camera, 64-colour ambient lighting, 12-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof that can be operated via remote key and i-Smart app, ventilated driver seat with memory function, powered passenger seat with heating function, wireless phone charger and ORVM with memory and auto tilt function when reverse gear is engaged.

Gloster Savvy

The top-spec Savvy variant gets safety features such as forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and hands-free parking.

The MG Gloster is powered by a 2.0-litre, diesel engine, which comes in two states of tune. In the Super and Smart variants, the engine comes with a single turbocharger and makes 161 BHP and 375 Nm. These variants don't get 4-wheel drive.

The Sharp and Savvy variants get the 2.0-litre, twin-turbo diesel unit that is rated at 215 BHP and 480 Nm. This engine is mated to a shift-on-fly 4WD system. An 8-speed automatic gearbox is offered as standard across all variants.
