MG Hector bookings open

MG has started accepting bookings for the upcoming Hector SUV. Customers can also place their orders on the MG Motor website. The booking amount has been set at Rs. 50,000. The MG Hector is expected to be launched later this month and will be available for test drives from June 15, 2019 onwards. 

The MG Hector will be available in four variants - Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. It gets a split headlamp setup with LED daytime running lights and dual-tone alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV gets a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-inch MID, cruise control, panoramic sunroof, heated ORVMs, electrically adjustable front seats and a 360-degree camera among other features.

It will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine with 141 BHP and 250 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre diesel producing 168 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission will be offered as standard, while the petrol version gets a dual-clutch automatic option. MG will also offer a mild-hybrid variant of the Hector.
