MG Hector gets its first over-the-air software update

The MG Hector has received its first over-the-air (OTA) software update.

According to MG, the latest update adds new features such as Apple CarPlay. Smart and Sharp variants of the Hector will receive a notification on their touchscreen display to download the latest software update. It can be downloaded for free.

The MG Hector comes with a 10.4-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit with an embedded SIM card that allows over-the-air updates.

The Hector is available in four variants. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that makes 141 BHP and 250 Nm and a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel that puts out 168 BHP and 350 Nm of torque. A petrol hybrid variant is also available.
