MG has released a teaser video of the upcoming Gloster SUV.

In the video, MG has highlighted some of the safety features that will be offered in the Gloster. Besides the standard safety equipment like airbags and ABS, the SUV will also get automatic park assist, radar guided cruise control and automatic emergency braking.

The MG Gloster was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The 3-row SUV is a re-badged version of the Maxus D90 sold in the Chinese market. It is expected to be imported as a completely knocked down (CKD) unit and assembled at MG's Halol plant.

Spy images suggest that MG could offer multiple variants of the Gloster and higher variants could get quad-exhaust tips. The SUV could be powered by an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel engine producing 218 BHP and 480 Nm. The engine could be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The MG Gloster will be positioned above the Hector and will compete with the Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and Mahindra Alturas G4 in the Indian market.
