MG One SUV unveiled; showcases brand's new design language

MG Motor is expected to launch the new SUV in the international markets sometime by the end of 2021.

MG Motor has unveiled their all-new SUV, the MG One. The new MG One SUV showcases the brand's new design language, while also debuting the brand's new 'Sigma' architecture.

The new Sigma architecture is said to be a modular platform, capable of supporting a variety of powertrains, from regular IC-engines to hybrids and even all-electric. The platform is adaptable for different body styles as well.

MG Motor states that the new SUV will be offered in two versions - Fashionable & Sporty, characterised by two distinct paint shades of Bubble Orange & Wilderness Green. While both versions feature a 3D grille, the styling is more aggressive on the 'Fashionable' version, while the 'Sporty' version features a more subtle grille design.

Other features on the MG One include LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, a sloping roofline offering a coupe-like silhouette, plastic cladding around the wheel arches, silver roof rails, sleek LED taillights, black spoiler at the back and a set of stylish alloy wheels; among others.

MG is yet to unveil the interiors of the SUV, although it is expected to come packed with all the bells and whistles. This also includes an 'active digital ecosystem', the latest infotainment technology, semi-autonomous tech and plenty of other features as well.

The MG One is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission. The exact power figures though will be unveiled closer to the date of launch.

MG Motor is expected to launch the new SUV in the international markets sometime by the end of 2021.
