MG ZS Petrol SUV to be launched in Q3 2021

The ZS petrol is likely to get a new name and has been codenamed as Model K.

According to a media report, MG is set to launch the petrol version of the ZS in India in the third quarter of this year. It is said that the car is likely to get a new name as well. It has been codenamed as Model K.

The petrol ZS will be based on the facelift version that debuted in the international market last year. It gets a few cosmetic updates including a redesigned front fascia and new headlamp clusters. The front and rear bumpers have been reworked and the SUV rides on new dual-tone alloy wheels.

On the inside, it gets a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment head-unit that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

The Model K will be offered with two petrol engine options. These include a 1.5-litre unit producing 118 BHP and 150 Nm and a 1.3-litre turbocharged engine with 161 BHP and 230 Nm. Expect it to come with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.
