Mick Schumacher claims his first Formula 4 victory!

The name Schumacher has returned to the motorsport scene, but it comes in the form of Micheal Schumacher’s son - Mick. The 16 year old son of the seven time world F1 champion, achieved the first victory of his motor racing career with a podium finish at the final race in the German Formula Four.

Schumacher competed for the Van Amersfoort Racing team and ended the first race of the series in 9th place. After placing 12th in race two, Mick finally took the chequered flag on the final race at Oschersleben. Mick leads the rookie standings and ranks 5th overall in the championship. Media reports say that Sebastian Vettel had been coaching the young racer in the absence of Micheal Schumacher – who is still recovering from multiple head injuries sustained after a skiing accident in 2013.
