More images: Ertiga-based Maruti XL6 MPV

A new image of the Maruti XL6 MPV has leaked online. The latest image reveals the car's front end.

While the XL6 is based on the Ertiga, the image suggests that the new MPV is likely to get completely revised front end styling. It has a new hexagonal grille with a chrome bar in the centre. It is flanked by redesigned headlamp clusters that have integrated LED daytime running lights. The dual-tone front bumper has a silver skid plate and houses a pair of round fog lamps.

The XL6 appears to have black ORVMs that have integrated turn signals. It also has plastic cladding around the wheel arches and along the door sills and gets roof rails.

The Maruti XL6 MPV is likely to be powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. This is the same engine that is available on the Ciaz and Ertiga. It produces 103 BHP and 138 Nm of torque and comes paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.
