Motoroyale plans to develop 300-500cc bikes in India

According to a media report, Motoroyale is planning to develop a new bike in the 300cc - 500cc segment by 2021. It is likely to be priced around Rs. 2 lakh - Rs. 3 lakh. It is unclear whether the bike would be developed by Motoroyale on its own or with an international partner.

Motoroyale is also setting up a new assembly plant in Maharashtra. The facility will have a capacity of 60,000 units. At present, the company assembles bikes from completely knocked down (CKD) kits at its Ahmednagar plant, which has a capacity of 8,000 units.

Motoroyale has partnered with five international brands, which include Norton, MV Agusta, SWM, FB Mondial and Hyosung. The company offers bikes in the price range of Rs. 3 lakh - Rs. 60 lakh.

As part of a joint venture, the Kinetic Group will start assembly Norton bikes in India. A 650cc model is planned for launch in 2020. It will be later made in India with locally sourced parts.
