Mumbai gets India's first biogas powered EV charger

The company plans to set up more biogas powered EV chargers in the city.

India's first biogas powered EV charging station is now operational in Mumbai. It has been set up by AeroCare Clean Energy Limited in collaboration with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

The EV charger is located at Willingdon Club at Haji Ali. It can charge two vehicles at a time. The charger draws power from AeroCare's waste-to-electric power generation unit that was set up at Keshavrao Khadye Marg in September 2021. It generates 220 units of energy from household waste.

According to media reports, the company plans to set up more biogas powered EV chargers in the city.
