MV Agusta Brutale 800 launched in India at Rs. 15.59 lakh

MV Agusta has launched its Brutale 800 naked sportsbike in India at a price of Rs. 15.59 lakh (ex-showroom India).

Design elements on the new Brutale 800 include the elliptical full-LED headlight with a DRL ring around it and a triple-side exhaust. The composite steel trellis and aluminium plate frame is crafted out of lightweight alloy.

The feature list includes ride-by-wire with MV Agusta's Motor & Vehicle Integrated Control System (MVICS), four engine maps, 8-step traction control system and configurable ABS with 3-levels. On the transmission side, it employs a slipper clutch and quick shifter.

The bike features 43 mm upside-down forks upfront, a Sachs adjustable mono shock absorber at the rear, supporting a single-sided swing arm. It comes with twin 320 mm floating Brembo discs with 4-piston radial calipers upfront and 220 mm discs at the rear with 2-piston calipers. The Brutale 800 rides on 17-inch alloys wrapped in 120/70 section and 180/55 section Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tyres at the front and rear respectively. 

The MV Agusta Brutale 800 is powered by a 798 cc, inline 3-cylinder engine. Featuring a counter-rotating crankshaft, this motor puts out 109 BHP @ 11,500 rpm and a peak torque of 83 Nm @ 7,600 rpm. The Brutale 800 is claimed to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in about 2.8 sec and has a top speed of 237 km/hr. It has a fuel tank capacity of 16.5 litres. 

The new MV Agusta Brutale 800 is imported into the country as a semi-knocked down unit (SKD) and is assembled at the Kinetic Group's Ahmednagar unit.
