The bike had been ridden quite less but since nearly 2 years had passed from the last service, it was time to get that done with 2467kms on the odo.
The bike on the service lift -
Oil and oil filter being removed -
The oil grade is the same as before -15W50 Semi synthetic -
1.7L of oil and the Oil Filter service kit -
The Oil Filter kit includes 2 O-rings -
SS Mesh oil filter at the drain plug was cleaned -
The Air Filter was also cleaned -
Given a thorough wash -
The Aluminium casings were getting dull and it was time for some TLC there -
Both casings were thoroughly polished by this metal polish -
The Spark plug was cleaned -
Both casings now looking as good as new -
The service labour was given complimentary to me, with the owner being a friend. One of the main tasks also covered was that I got both the front and rear brake fluid changed. Sorry but forgot to take any photos of that. Still the total bill was only Rs. 1242/- (which included 250 bucks for 200ml of brake fluid). Quite reasonable I would say -
The bike looking fully refreshed even after 2 years -
Back home -
This Classic 350 is truly a masterpiece and I don't mince my words having the best bikes in my garage. I would rate it even higher than the Classic 650 that they have recently launched for it's light, maneuverable and trouble free nature. A ideal bike equally at home while touring or maneuvering the small by-lanes in your city even with your Mrs. on board.
Cheers...
