My VW Polo GT TDI at 44444 kms: Projector headlight installation & more

have realized that the Polo GT TDI/TSI were indeed very special cars. The build, the usable features, the aftermarket modification capabilities and just the design is timeless.

An update after nearly 2 years!!

Not that I was not on this forum or was just too busy to post an update. Whoever said "Time flies" probably didn't mention the word Supersonic. By the time I decided to update my ownership thread, nearly 2years fizzed by.

During these two years, among all the heap load of churns, I sold my GT to my cousin due to an overseas relocation opportunity, but returned and bought the car back from him. So yes, this GT is a keeper for me I guess.

After getting the car back, got it thoroughly serviced at a known FNG, and went with some subtle and important updates:

Bi-LED projector headlights:

Contacted Vineet and Rupesh from Evo customs, fixed an appointment and dropped off my GT for a Bi-LED projector with LED high beam setup. Requested the team to blackout the silver elements and also add a a red highlight within. And here is how my car was returned:

All LED:

A simple DIY of swapping any existing bulbs with LEDs including the brake lights, parking (front and rear) lights, indicator lights, footwell lights and the rear fog light.

My GT TDI turns 4 this July, and incidentally turned up this number on the ODO:

I have realized that the Polo GT TDI/TSI were indeed very special cars. The build, the usable features, the aftermarket modification capabilities and just the design is timeless. For sure, I will hang on to this machine as long as "Legally" possible.
