Nanoli Speedway gets FIA approval for track design

Nanoli Speedway off Mumbai-Pune highway gets FIA approval.

Nanoli Speedway has received the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) approval for its track design. The FIA F3 track will be a members only motorsports and country club located at Nanoli Stud Farm, off the Mumbai Pune Expressway.

The main track will be 2.928 km long with 12 turns in a clockwise direction. The longest straight will be 801 meters long. According to Jaguar F-Type simulations, the average speed will be 123 km/h while the top speed will be 222 km/h. The track can be split in 3 circuits - Speed Circuit (2.788 km with 14 clockwise turns), West Circuit (1.425 km with 7 clockwise turns) and East Circuit (1.463 km with 8 clockwise turns). The East and West Circuits can be used simultaneously.

A 4x4 and Off-road centre has also been planned. It will consist of a range of terrains and man-made obstacles. It will include axle bumps, rock runs, twisting road, gravel hills, ditches and differing types of dirt.

The 105 meter long pit building will be designed by Serie Architects and consist of 30 parking spots outside the building, garages with 6-7 meter wide grid and 5 meter door width and 3 bays for scrutineering. The first floor will house the media centre, a cafe / restaurant, stewards room / timing / administrative and management offices, lounge room for VIPs and an outside terrace for track viewing.

The final plan includes a vehicle test track, skid pad, Go-Kart Track, Paddock, VIP Lounge, Members Club House, car storage and museum, accommodation, sports and leisure retreat and commercial hub.
