New-gen KTM 125 Duke, 250 Duke caught testing

The next-generation KTM 125 Duke and 250 Duke models have been spotted for the first time in Europe.

The next-generation KTM 125 Duke and 250 Duke models have been spotted for the first time in Europe.

Both models in the brand’s lineup are said to feature completely new designs, while also having significant chassis updates and minor tweaks to their engines.

The new KTM 125 Duke seems to have a new trellis frame design with additional crossbeams making it more robust, while the sub-frame is longer than before. KTM also seems to have updated the swingarm on the new 125 Duke, along with a slightly tweaked headlamp.

The quarter-litre sibling, on the other hand, can be seen with new body panels. The new KTM 250 Duke also swaps the trellis sub-frame for a composite version; a change that was first implemented on the 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke.

Other changes on the new 250 Duke include side-mounted rear shocks, a new wavy-designed swingarm, knuckle guards at the front and a re-styled headlamp unit.

Reports also suggest a few updates could be made to the engine. However, the exact details are yet to be officially announced.

The updated version of both the KTM 125 Duke and 250 Duke are expected to make their way to India. The prices for the models currently on sale in the market range between Rs 1.49 lakh to Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
