New-gen Skoda Octavia RS to be showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo

Skoda could offer the Octavia RS in limited numbers as a CBU at a later date.

The new-gen Skoda Octavia RS will be presented at the Bharat Mobility Expo in January 2025. Skoda India Brand Director Petr Janeba, confirmed this while speaking to the media on the sidelines of the Kylaq launch.

It is unclear if Skoda will announce the launch of the Octavia RS during the expo. It will most likely be brought in as a showstopper. That being said, given its popularity, Skoda could offer the Octavia RS in limited numbers as a CBU at a later date.

The latest generation of the Octavia RS is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The updated unit delivers 260 BHP and 370 Nm and is mated to a 7-speed DSG.

Besides the potent engine, the Octavia RS also gets chassis upgrades. The car sits 15 mm lower than the standard Octavia and gets an electronic limited-slip differential at the front. Skoda has also given it a sports exhaust system with software that enhances the sound on startup.
