New Hyundai Custo MPV teased ahead of debut

The Custo is expected to feature a sliding door mechanism, similar to that seen in the Kia Carnival.

Hyundai has released the first set of teaser images for its upcoming Custo MPV.

The teaser images showcase the MPV with a front fascia similar to that of the latest-gen Tucson SUV. The Custo will also come with LED daytime running lights integrated into the radiator grille and slim LED headlamps on either side.

The side profile has a clean, minimalistic design, while the rear features LED tail lights connected by an LED light bar. The Custo is expected to feature a sliding door mechanism, similar to that seen in the Kia Carnival.

While there are no details of the interiors yet, the Hyundai Custo is said to come with either a 6-seat or 7-seat configuration. It will also come packed with a host of features and technology.

The Custo minivan measures 4,950 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,734 mm in height. This is expected to translate to plenty of space inside the cabin.

Powering the Hyundai Custo MPV will be 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 170 BHP. There will also be a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder unit churning out 236 BHP. Both engines are expected to receive automatic transmission options.
