Mahindra Thar CRDe facelift launched at Rs. 8.03 lakh

Mahindra has launched the refreshed Thar CRDe at Rs. 8.03 lakh ex-showroom Nasik. The new model gets a host of cosmetic alterations on the outside, a completely redesigned interior and a mechanical locking differential that engages automatically without driver intervention.

Changes to the exterior include new front and rear bumpers, beefed up wheel arches with black cladding, clear lens headlamps, new tubular side footsteps and a redesigned canopy. Exterior colours include fiery black, red rage, mist silver, rocky beige and diamond white.

On the inside, the SUV features upgraded interiors and sports a new black and beige dashboard, wider seats, a new windshield demister, new door trims with armrests and a redesigned centre console. You also get new AC vents, a new 3-pod instrument cluster with chrome bezels, a new gear knob, a new steering wheel, a lockable glove box, a new floor console with cup holders, a 12V power socket and a provision for a 2-DIN audio system.

The Thar CRDe features a 44-degree approach angle and a 27-degree departure angle, with a ground clearance of 200 mm. Equipped with standard 4WD with high and low ratios, the Thar CRDe is powered by a 2,498cc diesel engine that makes 104 BHP @ 3,800 rpm and 247 Nm of torque @ 1,800 - 2,000 rpm. The SUV features a 5-speed manual gearbox and a Borgwarner 4WD transfer case.
