Next-gen Audi TT to be launched in India on April 23, 2015

The next-gen Audi TT will be launched in India on April 23, 2015. The car will be imported into India as a CBU.

The Audi TT is based on Volkswagen's MQB platform. The car is just as long as the outgoing model, but has a longer wheelbase (37 mm). At 1,230 kg, it weighs about 50 kg lesser than the old car.

Compared to the outgoing model, it has a broader and flatter hexagonal singleframe grille. The car also gets new xenon plus headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels as a part of standard equipment.

Coming to the interiors, the TT is equipped with a multifunction steering wheel, climate control, MMI Navigation Plus and a 680W Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Powering the TT is a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine that develops 227 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed S-Tronic gearbox. The TT also comes with a Quattro all-wheel drive system and has a claimed top speed of 250 kph.
