According to a media report, some BMW dealers in the country have started accepting pre-bookings for the next-generation X1. Dealers are charging a booking amount of Rs 50,000.
The next-gen X1 is based on the FAAR architecture. The SUV gets a few cosmetic tweaks on the outside. These include a larger kidney grille with slim LED headlamps and redesigned L-shaped LED daytime running lights, reworked bumpers and door handles; among others.
Inside, the X1 gets a curved screen that houses a 10.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster.
Globally, the new X1 is offered with petrol and diesel engine options combined with 48V mild-hybrid tech. Both powertrains are paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, while all-wheel drive is available as an option.
The next-gen BMW X1 is expected to be launched at the third BMW Joytown festival in Bangalore on January 28, 2023. Deliveries could commence in the month of March.
