Force could launch the next-gen Gurkha 3-door by the end of August 2021. The production of the vehicle is likely to begin next month.

Replying to a comment on Instagram, Force Motors confirmed that the off-roader will be launched this quarter.

The new Gurkha was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is expected to get circular headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights, a snorkel, a tailgate-mounted spare wheel, a touchscreen infotainment system, captain seats for the second row and side-facing jump seats at the rear.

The new Gurkha is expected to be powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine producing 89 BHP and 260 Nm. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, a low range gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system. An independent front suspension and a rigid axle at the rear will further add to its off-road capability.
