Next-gen Honda CB1000R patent images leaked

The next-gen CB1000R will compete with the BMW S 1000 R, Yamaha MT-10 and the Triumph Speed Triple.

Honda is working on the next-generation CB1000R and patent filings suggest that it will be a major update.

Honda’s flagship streetfighter is likely to be based on a monocoque chassis with a single-sided swingarm and cantilever suspension setup at the rear. The exhaust has also been modified and now features a twin-port muffler.

While the new CB1000R will have minimal bodywork, it is likely to get aero winglets for extra frontend downforce.

Reports suggest that the next-gen CB1000R could use the same 998cc inline 4-cylinder engine from the CBR1000RR Fireblade. The new model could also benefit from a larger radiator.

The next-gen CB1000R could arrive in the global market as a 2024 model. It will compete with the likes of the BMW S 1000 R, Yamaha MT-10 and the Triumph Speed Triple.
