Next-gen Honda WR-V debuts in Indonesia

The second-gen Honda CR-V is based on the Honda Concept RS SUV that was showcased in 2021.

Honda has taken the wraps off the all-new WR-V for the Indonesian market. The new model is based on the Honda Concept RS SUV that was showcased in 2021.

The second-generation WR-V measures 4,060 mm in length, 1,780 mm in width, 1,608 mm in height and its wheelbase is 2,485 mm. The crossover offers a ground clearance of 220 mm and has a 380-litre boot.

The new WR-V follows the brand’s latest design trend. It has a wide hexagonal grille with chrome inserts flanked by sweptback LED headlamps at the front, while the rear sports L-shaped LED tail lamps. The short overhangs give the car a sporty appearance.

The WR-V gets all-black interiors with a conventional twin-dial instrument cluster. The car comes loaded with a Honda Sensing safety suite, which includes features like Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lead Car Departure Notification and Auto High Beam.

In Indonesia, the WR-V is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol engine that makes 119 BHP @ 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm @ 4,300 rpm. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a CVT.
